Joining the Community is easy!

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate in English over voice chat on Discord

  • Must be at least 16

  • Must not be a member of any org on RSI with Piracy or Infiltration activities listed

AND

  1. Sign up for Citizen Commander, where we manage our fleet operations. We’ll invite you into the Org’s roster once you’re onboarded.

  2. Let us know what your Gameplay Motivations are. This helps us prioritize reward system designs in the org.

  3. Ask in the #airlock channel in Discord for an onboarding session over voice chat.

Important Notes

  1. You cannot gain attendance credits until you have been onboarded and tagged as a Recruit in Discord. Any events attended before your onboarding do not get tracked in our automated system.

  2. Setting Sol Armada as a secondary org on RSI will apply an Affiliate role in Discord, and you will not be able to rank up in the org. Change your settings here if you are currently an Affiliate and wish to change your status with us.

Frequently asked questions

  • After attending 3 events with us on voice chat, we will update your Discord role from Recruit to Member, and accept your org application on RSI.

  • You are welcome to apply as an Affiliate, but rank restrictions will apply. Setting Sol Armada as your main organization, once your application is accepted, will allow you to rank up with us.

  • Nope! Real life comes first. We don’t have any activity requirements to maintain membership. However, if we find that you are not contactable through any means, you may be removed. It always helps to let us know if you plan on being away for a long time, but we don’t require you to say anything.

  • Attending events with us on voice chat will give you Event Credits that contribute towards bringing you up to Technician (at 10 events) and Specialist (at 20 events). The 3 events from your time as a Recruit contribute to those totals. All of our Officers are brought up from the Specialist rank, so you know they’ve been around with us for a while.

  • Any event that is A) scheduled in the Discord, or B) impromptu (10+ people in-game, playing together with a common objective, with an officer present) that you attend and participate in will give you an Event Credit.

    Social events within 8 hours of each other are treated as the same event. This is to help ensure that our higher-ranking members are able to establish rapport with more of our members over time.

  • By participating! Help us get to know you. If you have strengths that cover some of our weaknesses, we’d love to hear what insight you have. Ultimately, policy and event ideas are filtered through the leadership team.

    Lieutenants are our lowest-level Event Lead, and Specialists can shadow them or co-lead an event.

  • If you offer a ship, and the Event Leader gives you the go-ahead to spawn it, yes. Equip your ships with the best components available prior to events. If you’re not sure what those are, ask!

    Because a core value of the org is respecting our members’ time, we like to ensure that our members are transported safely to mission objectives. You’re welcome to work up a reputation for good piloting outside of official Org Events. During Org Events, our larger multi-crew vessels are piloted by higher ranking members with proven records of good piloting.
